Far Thing…our walk for May

Saturday May 25th. We meet on platform 3 of Farringdon Station ( in the wider bit at the covered end of the platform ).

Time of meeting…11:10am, we will be catching the Horsham train a few minutes after this as far as Coulsdon South.

This walk is more strenuous than the previous two this year ( see map and gradient profile ) as we walk up into the North Downs and then down to Caterham. [both Coulsdon South and Caterham are in Fare Zone 6]

Please note: THERE IS NO PICCADILLY LINE BETWEEN ACTON AND LONDON ON THIS DAY, NOR DISTRICT LINE. Recommended route to Farringdon from Wembley area is direct Metropolitan Line train from Wembley Park, journey time about 30 minutes.

However, please also be aware that the FA Cup Final kicks off at 3pm, this should not be an issue in the morning, return journey recommended via Clapham/Willesden or from Euston or to Hanger Lane.
